Below are the various massage types that I use during my therapy sessions.
Deep Tissue
Releases tension by moving
across the muscles, tendons and fascia with slow strokes and deep pressure.
Reiki
A form of energy healing that promotes balance, relaxation, and supports the body's natural healing processes.
Trigger Point Therapy
Breaks the cycle of spasms and pain by using pressure on trigger points and tender muscles.
Myofascial Release
This gentle approach creates relaxation, elimination of pain and restores the body’s ability to move more freely by releasing myofascial connective tissue.
Prenatal/Postnatal
Designed specifically for the expectant Mother to relieve the tensions of pregnancy. Different stretches and joint movements might be used during this session.
Reflexology
A gentle therapy on pressure points in the feet, ears and hands that correspond to internal joints and organs in the body.
CranioSacral Therapy
A gentle, hands-on method to evaluate and enhance the craniosacral system, which protects the brain and spinal cord.
Sports
Designed specifically for athletes or people who engage in a sport. Different techniques are used depending if it is in preparation or recovery
from an event.
Swedish Massage
Most common massage that works with the soft tissues to induce a state of deep relaxation. It increases the circulation of the lymphatic and blood in the body.
